brightening pathways through public speaking for kids
Positive Public Speaking Starts at Home
"Public Speaking is not a skill, it is a behaviour that can be nourished from a very young age. The ability to speak our mind before a group is one of the most important life skills on the planet at this time" Nathalie Brewer
Fear of public speaking has been shown to start in children as young as three years of age. Children tend to judge themselves out of fear of attracting attention and making mistakes. But what if we could teach our children to laugh at themselves, celebrate being the centre of attention and share true humour and self acceptance with any group of people?
What parents can learn?
This 1.5 hours workshop includes a carefully designed sequence of tips, advice & group discussion on:
A new personal perspective toward public speaking to model to your child
Tools to help your child speak freely when they are the focus of attention
An empowering way to nourish your child’s introversion or extroversion
NOTE: This is not a definitive course on helping your child to be an excellent speaker. This session is packed full of fun, safe and challenging ideas which will help you nurture your child in becoming a comfortable communicator in groups.
